Flowers

COLOURING  BOOKS

Flowers

60 illustrations of 30 various flowers which can be found in most of European gardens

For each plant: - two pages and two illustrations. On the first one the flower appears alone, without any background. On the second page, the flower becomes a part of a composition, and its background is a geometric pattern, the components of which, properly coloured, can complement the beauty of the flower.

Why "humble flowers"? - Well, they are seldom found in spectacular anniversary bouquets. Instead, they can be seen in almost every home garden in northern Europe, on balconies and in parks. Some of them grow without the assistance of human hands. The fact that they are so common does not, of course, do any less justice to their beauty and their grace.

In the first presented here, more elaborated version, you will find notes about the symbolism of the flowers, their significance in ancient myths and in art history, as well as the colour samples in case you are not familiar with the specific plant.

The second version is simpler, with illustrations only.

Some examples from the book: wood violets, forget-me-nots, pansies, tulips, zinnias, morning glories, foxgloves, bluebells and many more....
